Hello friends!


Well, the weather is improving and we made it through another winter!

We will have a limited number of CSA spots open for the summer (April - October) CSA.  You can check the CSA tab for details. Openings will be filled on a first come first serve basis with winter CSA members getting 1st priority.

Hoping that this summer is a great one!!

Good news!! We finally have pork back in the freezers!! Now we are well stocked in all of our meat products. Beef, Pork, Lamb and chicken! Hope to see you soon!!

Hi folks!  

We are finally starting to get back to "normal" in the meat department although it is still a challenge. Since the Covid outbreak local food (especially meat) producers and systems continue to face challenges to meet the demand for locally raised products. Slaughter facilities throughout the Northeast are booking out up to 18 months as opposed to the normal 1-2 months. This means we are not able to get animals processed when we normally would and we have to hold onto them (and keep feeding them).

The good news is the we now have Beef, Chicken and Lamb restocked in our freezers and we should have pork in 1-2 weeks!!


Thank you for your understanding and encouragement! We appreciate it!!

And thanks as always to our customers who have regularly supported us and other small farms. One thing this pandemic has shown is the danger of having a food system in place where huge national meat packing facilities control such a large portion of our food supply (over 90%).

Hello folks,

We hope that you are all doing well and staying healthy in these challenging times.

I thought that I would give an update about the status of products and how we are dealing with the corona virus.

First, I would like to say that in the past 3 weeks we have sold more than 3 months worth of meats. This may sound great for us but it has caused some issues for us and our regular customers. It takes 20 months for a calf to be ready for slaughter and 6 months for a hog and there is nothing that can be done to speed this up. So... here is a list of what we have and when we hope to have more.

Chicken: We are currently out of chicken (except for backs which are good for soup and broth). We will have more chicken the 4th week of June.

Beef: We have a very limited supply of beef (mostly ground) and will have more in early July.

Pork: We have a limited supply and will have more in early August.

Lamb: We have a limited supply and will have more the 3rd week of May

Eggs: We are currently collecting and selling 10-12 dozen per day (we could be selling 30 dozen as sales are crazy). We have added some more laying hens but they will not start producing for another month.

Vegetables: It is still early (and cold!). We are producing a small amount of spinach, kale and pea shoots at this time. More is on the way.

Thank you for support. We encourage all of you to become more aware of where your food comes from and support small farms in your area. Regular customers are what we all base our future production on, so it is important to support local agriculture in good times if you want it to be there in bad times.

Checkout our new Poultry CSA available for 6 months this winter (October - March)!!

8-10 lbs. of various chicken cuts and 2 dozen eggs per month!! 

Cost for 6 months is $460.00!

Hello everyone!!  Our winter CSA begins on October 18th!!  It runs for 6 months (October - March) and we have 3 slots available.  Each month members receive 12-15 lbs. of meat and 2 dozen eggs.  More information is available on the web site CSA page!!

Easter is only 2 weeks away!!!  Get your lamb or Ham while they last!

Enjoy a farm raised Leg of Lamb (Whole or Half leg bone in or Whole boned and rolled) or a fully cooked Ham Smoked right here in RI at Westerly Packing!

Our Summer MEAT CSA begins April 19th!  Pick-up days are the 3rd Wednesday or Saturday of the month from 1-6 pm.  12-15 lbs. of meat and 2 dozen eggs per month! We are adding 2 shares for the summer CSA! 1st come 1st served.

Hi folks!  We just got pork back from the butcher!! We had been low on pork for a while and it goes quickly, so if you are in the mood for some great chops, ribs, roasts etc. stop on by the Meat Room!  Bacon will be back in a few weeks. Also, we were picking Spinach and Arugula  in the high tunnel so that will be out in the farm stand as it is available!

Just a note to let you know that we just  re-stocked our freezers with Beef and Chicken!!  Stop by for a juicy steak or ground beef!! How about a whole chicken or some legs or breasts for the grill??
