We raise Red "Freedom Ranger" Broilers on pasture for meat. They take a little longer to finish than white birds but we have never had birds with leg problems or health issues.

  We purchase day old chicks and raise them under heat lamps for 2-4 weeks depending on the time of year and weather. They are then moved onto pasture in bottomless pens that are on grass.  The pens are moved over fresh grass daily and the chicks remain there until they are full grown at 10 -11 weeks of age. The pens protect the birds from predators like foxes and hawks. 

Our broilers are processed at Baffoni's Poultry, the only USDA poultry processing facility in RI.  They are shrink wrapped and labelled.  We sell them frozen.  We also have packages of wings, legs and breasts (Bone in and Boneless).
